The chequerboard marks the transparent background. JPEG doesn't support transparency: if you leave it transparent, that file comes out white.

Building the palette
of the dress code.

A colour dress code gives the guests a guide, so they don't have to guess the shade or ask: with the colours in front of them they know the range to dress within. Two or three main shades and a couple of secondary ones are enough; beyond five colours, the palette loses its clarity.

A palette works best when it comes from something real: the bouquet, the napkin fabric, the front of the venue. Upload the photo, move the pipettes onto the shades you want to keep and download the image: it is ready to send to the guests and to add to the wedding moodboard. The dress code also has a section of its own inside the invitation.

Frequently asked
questions

How many colours should a wedding palette have?
Two or three main shades and a couple of secondary ones. With more than five the palette loses clarity, although the tool allows up to twelve.
Can I take the colours from a photo?
Yes: upload a photo of the bouquet, the fabric or the venue and move the droppers to the shades you want. The photo never leaves your device.
What is a colour dress code for?
So guests don't have to guess the shade or ask: with the colours in front of them they know which range to stay in, and the colours work together in the photos.
What format does it download in?
PNG, SVG or JPEG, ready to send to your guests or add to your moodboard. We ask for your email to download it.
How do we tell our guests?
Send the image with the invitation. If your invitation is from ETERNAMENTE, the dress code has its own section where you can explain it.
